Encuentros is a three-month artist residency program hosted by Greenhouse, dedicated to supporting emerging and mid-career artists by providing time, space, and resources to develop their work. Rooted in collaboration and community engagement, Encuentros fosters an environment where artists can explore new ideas, connect with peers, and engage with the local community through workshops, exhibitions, and public programs.
A key mission of Encuentros is to bring artists from different parts of the country together, allowing them to immerse themselves in a new environment, exchange cultural perspectives, and create meaningful connections with the local community. By facilitating this interchange of experiences, the program enriches both the artists and the communities they engage with, fostering a dynamic artistic dialogue.
The residency welcomes artists working across various disciplines, including visual arts, performance, literature, and multimedia. Selected residents will receive studio space, mentorship opportunities, and access to Greenhouse’s network of arts professionals and community partners.
